Tort-a-What?

As you might recall from my last blog entry, Sadie was diagnosed with a minor case of Torticollis.  This is basically a slight head tilt.  I had never even heard of this condition prior to the doctor mentioning it at our 6 month check up.  Since then, though, I have heard from lots of friends that either they had it, their child had it, or their student had it.  And almost all of kids had the issue corrected with physical therapy.

So today we had our first appointment with a physical therapist, and she was excellent.  She said Sadie's tilt is very minor and it should easily be corrected with physical therapy.  My mom and I learned a few exercises that we need to work on with Sadie 3-5 times a day.  We go back in 2 weeks for an additional consult and to review her progress.  Sadie was a complete trooper and hardly fussed at all, except when we limited her mobility with some of the stretches. I had to laugh, the PT asked if Sadie was rolling over yet, and I responded "occasionally."  During this session we could not keep Sadie from NOT rolling over.  Every time we put her on her belly, she would roll onto her back.  So apparently she is rolling over more than "occasionally." :)

On another note, we got Sadie's 6 month pictures taken a couple of weeks ago and they turned out amazing.  Hat's off to Wendy Ham with "Simply Moore" photography.  Feel fee to view a few of them on her blog.  Just click on March and "you make me smile."
